Chris Smeaton – Owner and President
Chris founded the company in June 2001, after serving as a scouting and location producer for a nationally syndicated home-improvement television show. He surveyed more than 300 homes nationwide and coordinated location, plans and materials for 48 home improvement projects for television. His experience as a weekend rehabber and background in television production sales landed him the role that would expose him to the remodeling industry on both local and national levels.
In addition to his responsibilities as owner, Chris is focused on managing the day-to-day operations of the business and improving efficiencies. This includes overseeing all estimating, contracts, accounting, procurement, scheduling and production.
Chris holds degrees in communications, St. Norbert College, 1987 and Film, Columbia College, 1996. He was employed for 13 years in various sales and marketing positions, including a successful start up from 1992-1995 with Successories Corp., until joining the television show.
